The ninth annual Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life was completed on Friday, May 29, with its first year at Upper Queen’s Park.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the survivors, the caregivers, the team captains and their hard working team members, the volunteers, each and every person that visited us at Upper Queen’s Park for making this relay such a huge success.

To the dignitaries and scheduled performers, our sincere gratitude for being part of it all (even though the weather shortened the proceedings, you still hung in there). To the committee members, a special thanks for your dedication, spirit and passionate commitment in our desires to eradicate cancer.

To the Canadian Cancer Society, thank you for your direction throughout the process of producing an event of this size.

As a result of our combined efforts, we are very proud to say that we have received over $175,000 for funding research, providing information, offering support and advocating for a healthy Canada. Thank you to one and all. See you next year to help us CELEBRATE, REMEMBER and FIGHT BACK!
